Originally from the US, Lana has background in education, and worked as a clinical therapist for abused children, battered women, and adults and children with mental disabilities and drug addiction. Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Petr’s background in engineering is why our school building and playground has grown and developed into a welcoming and inviting environment where children have fun learning, feel safe, and create lasting friendships. Every year positive changes occur with Petr’s help and creativity.
Originally for the US, Emily begins her 4th year at our school. After teaching 4th grade for two years, she accepted the challenge of School Support Coordinator. As our school coordinator, Emily wears many hats, and is the glue that supports our school. She enjoys staying connected with the children by teaching G3-G5 Character Education and G5 study skills weekly.
Originally from the US, Kristin uses her background in education and specialization in special needs to help our students, which require support with a particular learning task or face learning challenges. We are fortunate to have a person who patiently helps students achieve learning goals. Kristin will also lead G1-G2 Character Education lessons to help our students become good citizens of the world.

Originally from the US, but grew up in Hong Kong and Japan attending international schools as a child. This is her second year as our kindergarten teacher. Her structured, calm approach to learning ensures her students meet their learning targets. By incorporating personal knowledge and experiences into her lessons, she creates a diverse learning environment that appeals to young learners.

Born in the Czech Republic, Kristina has lived in the US and New Zealand. Kristina has been involved with Panda Center on and off for five years while earning her degree in early education. She has finally joined our team as a teaching assistant and upper grades art teacher. Her creative and calm approach make her a natural teacher children love.

Originally from Greece, Harris begins his third year teaching at our school. Prior experience as a teaching assistant and learning support teacher allow him to find the appropriate path for students with learning challenges. Harris offers a structured approach and dedication, which ensures students meet their learning targets. His background in physical education helps him create a fun, active learning environment, which children love.
1st Grade Teacher
Originally from the US, Caroline will begin her tenth teaching year at our school. She began in our preschool Polar Bear class before finding her home for the past seven years in the 2nd grade classroom. Her love of music and books always ensures an active and vibrant classroom. Caroline is also our most environmentally aware staff member and enjoys teaching and reminding our students and staff to be environmentally aware. Thanks to Caroline, we do not use single use plastic bottles at school, and we began using recycled paper and bio friendly plates and cups for our school functions.
2nd Grade Teacher
Originally from Thailand, Ratchanee will begin her twelfth year teaching at our school. She has demonstrated her diverse teaching abilities by leading various classes from our preschool Panda Bears and up. However, she seems to have found her niche in 3rd grade. Her structured approach ensures the children meet their targets every year. Ratchanee enjoys reading, learning new things and discovering new ways to engage children. This approach is apparent in the work her students produce.
3rd Grade Teacher
Originally from the US, Brittany has been living in Prague for almost 1.5 years. Her ancestors originated from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, so she has returned to her roots. Her teaching specialization is in grades 4-8, but enjoys teaching 4th grade best! Her active learning approach keeps her students moving and learning.

Originally from the UK, Karl has been an important part of our school since 2012. His approach and dedication to teaching has given him a reputation reflected by the outstanding results our 5th grade students achieve. His creativity and love of writing and history leads to a wonderful mix of factual data and creative expression. Each year his 5th grade students find ways to raise money for WaterAid and each year they reach their goal! As curriculum director, he ensures our curriculum stays up to date and meets the necessary learning targets.

Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Jitrenka prefers a modern approach to teaching Czech. Small class size allows time to approach learning on a deeper level using fun, active techniques in years G1-G3. Jitrenka offers Czech to our non-native G4-G5 students and created her own workbook; now published.
Czech Teacher G1-G3
Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Matylda loves Czech language and teaching. She has musical talent, so expect to hear her singing and playing her guitar while teaching Czech as a second language to her students G2-G3. Matylda also teaches G4 and G5 Czech natives, ensures they have the necessary information to prepare for state exams, and still finds time to read and teach classic Czech tales.

Originally from Serbia, Jelena lived in Portugal prior to moving to Prague. She has experience working with children and adults with special needs. Jelena joins our team part-time to offer learning support to students who need extra attention, and assists with office duties as well. Her work clearly demonstrates her great interest in education and learning.

Every person at our school plays an important role. However, without these three women, our school wouldn't run as smoothly as it does. They ensure our school remains clean and tidy throughout each day, and make sure all the children and staff have full tummies. We appreciate their hard work and contributions to our community.
